About trim video

It takes any video. Large files stay on your machine, so size is bounded by your own memory rather than an upload limit. The work happens in your browser, so the file is never uploaded and the tool keeps working offline. The same operation is available programmatically at POST /v1/media/video-trim.
Trim Video questions
Does Trim Video upload my file?
No. Trim Video runs as WebAssembly inside this browser tab: the file is read from your disk by the page, processed on your own machine, and handed straight back. It is never sent anywhere, so there is nothing for us to store or delete.
What files can I use with Trim Video?
Any video file your browser can read. The limit is 5 GB per file.
Can I run Trim Video on several files at once?
Yes. Trim Video takes one file at a time, so selecting several runs it once per file, one after another, and you get a result for each.
Do I need an account to use Trim Video?
No. Trim Video works without signing in, and that is not a trial — it is how the free tier works. An account only matters for things that need one to exist at all: larger server jobs against your quota, API keys, saved workflows and billing.
Can I run Trim Video from my own code?
Yes. Every tool on the site is reachable from the REST API with the same slug — `video-trim` — and the same options as this page, so anything you can do here you can automate against your own files.
